I finally had time to check out Thainy Boda on the Western Promenade in Portland, Maine. It had been on my list for a while and I am glad I could find a parking spot and check it out. I didn’t see the ramen dish listed but I did try the fried rice ball and the fried chicken sandwich. I was not disappointed. I liked the fried rice ball as a snack and I went home to escape the heat. Once home I enjoyed the chicken sandwich which they put an awesome slaw on it. I wonder if they sell just that. I love the fact that Portland has food trucks to enjoy all sorts of foods.

Sweet!
I went bowling with family and we went and got ice cream after. I decided to check out Martel’s that is across the street from Funtown. I tried the mint Oreo and peanut butter. Yum! More ice cream than I expected but so very good.
Take a Hike!
Recently I finally had time to check out the Chandler Brook Preserve in North Yarmouth, ME. I liked how simple the trails were where there was a loop though I wish they were more clearly marked.
Sweet!
Today I happen to be going by Lib’s Diary Treats so of course I had to stop. This week they were offering a peanut butter soft serve twisted with cran-raspberry fruit whip that I had to try. Oh my! So good!
Take A Hike!
I grew up near by but wasn’t aware of these trails. I liked how beautiful the field trails were then you get into the woods. The trails are groomed well and a good spot to stretch your legs.
A real Italian
Recently I was craving something different and found a parking spot outside of A&C Grocery in Portland and wanted to check it out. It’s a nice shop to grab some groceries and get some lunch to go. I grabbed a “real” Italian sandwich for lunch with chips and enjoyed it outside at home. I thought it was a good sandwich and was nice to see how fresh the ingredients were.
Wandering
I was hungry after my time at the Wells Reserve so I stopped at the 1690 House bake shop & cafe on Route 1. I got a chicken salad sandwich that was tasty with a chocolate coconut cupcake. The cupcake was a little dry but the frosting was quite good. On my way home I also stopped at Congdon’s Donuts to grab a donut for later. They are like cake and taste homemade.
Wells, Maine
On Monday I ventured down to Wells, Maine to go for a walk at Wells Reserve. I hadn’t been here in a long time. They have nice trails to walk and access to the beach. I walked the trail to the beach and walked along the sea. Next time I’d like to check out the buildings including the visitor center. There is a small fee to enter after you park.
Lil’s Cafe
After my hike I went to Kittery to grab some food before heading back home. I stopped at Lil’s Cafe. I got the pesto mozzarella with tomato on the olive sourdough. Very good and filling! I had wanted to try one of their donuts too. It was light with a good sugar coating. I thought it was interesting how they sell reusable straws to prevent waste and do recycling and composting when you throw out your trash. I need to remember to bring one of my reusable straws with me.
Take a Hike!
Today I checked out Mount Agamenticus in York, Maine. I drove up to the summit then hiked down then back up the summit. Probably should have planned that better but it was my first time there and was quite a workout. Weather was cool but that was fine since I was moving the whole time. I highlighted on the trail map where I went.
